"Channel sources" app

Previously (in Hubzilla versions prior to 8...), the Channel Sources application worked. Publications from my other instances (Peertube, Pixelfed) were automatically streamed to my Hubzilla channel.
I've configured the Channel Sources application in a newly created channel on a new hub -- broadcasting doesn't work. How can I fix this?

IIRC broadcasting will only work if you tick the "Resend posts with this channel as author" option.
Keep in mind that you could run into copyright issues that way...

Already done. For example, configured source from my own friendica instance (where I post various things about HAM radio): https://friends.radio-spb.site/profile/r1blh

But nothing from friendica. What could be the reason?

Maybe i understood wrong. Do you mean the sources posts are not arriving at your hub? Or they are arriving but not being distributed by your channel?

Yes,
I can see the original posts in the my network stream (my subscriptions), but they are not distributing to my channel.

I can confirm. Public post (via ActivityPub) won't be distributed by my Hubzilla channel.

Do I understand correctly that in this situation, third-party sources are prohibited from using their publications by the hub for mirroring/forwarding to the derivative channel?

You're absolutely right. I just added my peertube channel as the channel source. Uploaded the video, everything works like it should!

I still need to figure out how to set permissions in my channels on my instances of a different type (pixelfed, friendica) and on third-party instances (mastodon).
